Jennifer has a personal interest in refinishing due to her uncle: Claude M. Huret
*Claude was born in April 1931, in Domont, 12 miles from Paris, France. He arrived in Washington, D.C., in 1950, with just the clothes on his back. Within a few years he was a successful Georgetown businessman and one of the finest cabinetmakers in town. His customers included former President Richard Nixon, Senators Symington and Kennedy, and ambassadors of France, Belgium, Sweden, Canada and Germany.
Claude worked with antiques throughout his career. He established the Claude M. Huret Cabinet Shop in 1955 in the Georgetown section of Washington, D.C.*
Jennifer is fortunate to have the opportunity to use her artistic abilities and proud to carry on a trade that her uncle built his life on in America.
